Technology for the first CNG filling station arrived from Schwelm to the Písek industrial area, a distance of eight hundred kilometres, on 13 December.
The container, containing a high-pressure compressor, storage tanks and control automatics made by Schwelm Anlagetechnik GmbH, was placed on the prepared station foundations using a special crane.
Power connection and function tests are postponed until 2013 due to very low temperatures. Drivers will be able to fill up with cheap natural gas probably by the end of January.
The public filling station will be operated by ZLINER ENERGY, a company from Zlín supplying CNG-driven buses and minibuses to ČSAD Autobusy České Budějovice. MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská, Soběslav is the exclusive producer and supplier of the appliances in the Czech Republic.
