The company's history dates back to 1899.
The original engineering workshop of Julia Škrlandt purchased empty buildings of a closed-down cooperage in Kněžské Dvory, adjacent to the railway line to Prague, in 1899. She moved her mill construction and machinery production equipment to these buildings, and set up a forge and a metal foundry.
