Representatives of MOTOR JIKOV GREEN visited the headquarters of YAMABIKO Corporation and two production plants in the city of YOKOSUKA and MORIOKA.
The purpose of this visit was to meet Mr. Nagao, the President of the company, and to deepen the knowledge of products and technologies used in YAMABIKO products of the ECHO and SHINDAIWA brands. The visit also included practical tests as well as comparison the competition’s machinery, which demonstrated the extraordinary performance of ECHO and SHINDAIWA products. Our information regarding state-of-the-art technologies and perfect quality of products was proven to be true during a personal visit to the YOKOSUKA plant situated in the vicinity of TOKYO, which supplies other factories mainly with precision castings and heat-treated components. The YOKOSUKA factory takes pride in many patented technological procedures, which provide the stamp of uniqueness to ECHO products. The neighbouring subsidiary company OPPAMA supplies electronic ignition parts for assembly lines.
The MORIKA plant situated about 500 km north from TOKYO is the main assembly plant for the YAMABIKO Corporation. Nearly the entire range of ECHO and SHINDAIWA manual power tools is assembled here. High stress is laid on the scrap rate. The success rate of these efforts is proved by 100% identified defects in the amount of 9 pieces out of 1,000. The complex also includes a large assembly and production building, where production processes of many components requiring maximal precision are completed, such as for example pistons with a guaranteed accuracy of 5 to 15 microns. No other manufacturer is able to guarantee that. A production line is also located here for plastic parts made by various technologies – moulding, blowing and pressing. Dozens of assembled machines leave the assembly line every minute for the final inspection. Every machine is 100% tested and configured. The complex also contains the main logistics centre.
The visit to the YAMABIKO production plants proved our expectations about Japanese accuracy, organisation and consistency. The complex production process is fully self-sufficient. YAMABIKO produces 99 % of parts used in their manufacturing plants, not only motor parts but also plastic covers, tanks etc. The result of all these aspects are first-class ECHO and SHINDAIWA products, which MOTOR JIKOV GREEN exclusively imports to the Czech and Slovak markets.
