The MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s. in České Budějovice boasts a training center for practical instruction in specialist subjects. Traditional machines and modern machining centers spread over 130 m2 offer students and apprentices from technically oriented schools a space for programming, machining, grinding, and other work operations.
The tradition of training new generations for engineering and foundry professions began in the companies of the MOTOR JIKOV GROUP holding in 2007, as a response to the increasing demands of companies both in terms of the number of graduates from technically oriented schools and their professional skills. At present, the company has a training center in České Budějovice and a training and education center in Soběslav.
The capacity of the České Budějovice center, which is equipped with a machining center, a CNC lathe, a traditional lathe, a milling machine, a surface grinder, and three drill presses, is eight boys/girls. In addition to them, young people acquire professional skills and experience with the work process in the mechanization assembly line, in the Pressure Foundry maintenance department, in the casting-iron foundry pattern shop, or in the Moulds and Special Purpose Machines divisions.
