The CEO of MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s., Miroslav Dvořák, and the chairman of the trade union organization ZO OS KOVO LADA Soběslav, Josef Moc, signed a collective agreement for the current period for MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. The company, in agreement with the unions, will increase the total payroll funds for this year by __1.7 million Czech crowns__. The contribution to the benefit card has also been increased; this year, each employee received __2000 crowns__. Most other conditions remain unchanged based on mutual agreement.
Negotiations with the second trade union organization operating within the MOTOR JIKOV holding, ZO OS KOVO MOTOR JIKOV, are ongoing. Consensus was not reached even after negotiations with an independent mediator. “Considering the unstable development of energy prices and input commodity costs, the lower growth in the automotive sector, and the financial outlook for MOTOR JIKOV in 2022, which accounts for wage increases and energy prices, I recommend not burdening MOTOR JIKOV with a blanket wage increase and setting a minimum of __1300 CZK__,” stated the mediator. The average wage increase across the MOTOR JIKOV GROUP holding is actually higher than the union's requested __1300 CZK__. “However, we cannot agree to broad-based raises. Currently, the wage increase affects already three-quarters of employees,” emphasized Miroslav Dvořák.
Trade union organizations entered negotiations together; however, their opinions diverged during the process. “We are convinced that concluding a separate collective agreement will not cause any complications for employees of MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. or other employees of the MOTOR JIKOV GROUP. Employees at MJS Soběslav are almost exclusively represented by the LADA Soběslav trade union organization, and their workplace and production program are distinct and separate from the ‘České Budějovice’ part of the MOTOR JIKOV GROUP,” said Iva Fantyšová, HR Director of MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s.
“We believe that maintaining social peace, good working conditions for employees, and ensuring the economic stability of the employer remain the goals of both trade unions and the company. This can be achieved through mutual respect among all parties involved, even with multiple separate collective agreements,” added the HR director.
