Jan Mládek, the Minister of Industry and Trade, visited MOTOR JIKOV GROUP

České Budějovice – Jan Mládek, the Minister of Industry and Trade, has personally witnessed the cooperation of MOTOR JIKOV, secondary schools and apprentice schools working together to prepare students for their future jobs.
“Up to 140 students in the field of tool engineering, machine operating, locksmithing and mechanics attend our training centres every year. “We always prepare the whole class for the labour market, increasing the quality of technical school graduates with our responsible approach,” said Miroslav Dvořák, the General Director of MOTOR JIKOV when introduced the concept to the minister. The company already offers a scholarship to young people during their studies and an interesting job upon completing the school. Approximately a tenth of students are accepted into the scholarship programme, with ten per cent of them going on to find a job at MOTOR JIKOV.

Jan Mládek, the minister, asked, “how do you manage to keep students in your company after they’ve finished school?” while appreciating the investment MOTOR JIKOV has made in young people. “To keep our scholarship holders within the company after finishing school, we hold company visits for their parents and motivate them financially already during their obligatory training period, which is something other companies do not provide. In the last year of their studies our scholarship holders are already preparing for the specific job they will work in upon completing their studies,” explained Věra Vrchotová, the Director of the Human Resource Department of the MOTOR JIKOV Group. The graduates receive a watch with the MOTOR JIKOV logo during the certificate awarding ceremony and congratulations directly from Miroslav Dvořák, the General Director of MOTOR JIKOV.

The minister also visited the premises of MOTOR JIKOV Fostron and MOTOR JIKOV Slévárna on his visit on 13 October and met students who were going through their training there.
