Chinese Academicians Praised MOTOR JIKOV’s Operations

Miroslav Dvořák, the General Director of MOTOR JIKOV, welcomed the first Chinese visitors in the history of the company. The visitors arrived only a week after Miroslav Dvořák returned from his visit to China, where he had invited them for a visit.
“Prior to my trip to China, I considered this country to be a ‘strange’ competitor. However, there I recognised that China is a standard competitor with whom it is necessary to find common ground and to communicate with, as I can see we have successfully managed to do both a few days ago in China and today at MOTOR JIKOV,“ said Miroslav Dvořák at the meeting.

The Chinese academicians led by Professor Liu Yongxiang, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management at the Beijing Technical University toured MOTOR JIKOV facilities. “I must say that we have been very pleasantly surprised by the number of modern machines and the cleanliness of the whole production process. The broad product portfolio and its devotion to the smallest detail is also very impressive. It is amazing that all this is managed basically without any state subsidies,“ noted Liu Yongxiang, the Dean.

Besides the production area, the guests were also introduced to how MOTOR JIKOV collaborates with universities and secondary schools for educating the next generation of engineers. “Results show that you have been doing a very good job and that you do not hesitate to invest a lot in this area,“ Liu Yongxiang added.

The Chinese visitors were also interested in the role of trade unions in relation to the company, company costs and MOTOR JIKOV’s exports to China. The company’s business with the People’s Republic of China was 2.2 per cent of all sales of the MOTOR JIKOV GROUP holding in 2014.
