In connection with new projects and increasing customer demands MOTOR JIKOV Fostron a.s. in České Budějovice modernizes its technological background. The machinery portfolio was extended with a new five-axis machining centre.
The Linerarmill 600 centre is ideal for high-speed 5-axis machining of medium-sized workpieces. The advantage is not only its ability to machine shape-complex parts from five sides at one fixture, it can also be used for turning operations. Other benefits of the machine also include a linear 5-axis drive, rotary table and integrated direct measuring systems in all 5 axes.
“When choosing new technologies we primarily emphasize a quality and the price/performance ratio. Linearmill 600 excels at its high rigidity and ability to machine shaped parts of casting tooling at one fixture. We will be using the new machine mostly to rough tooling inserts prior to hardening, including drilling of cooling holes,“ says Vladimír Kubeš, the director of Tooling Shop Division of MOTOR JIKOV Fostron a.s.
