Dear colleagues, employees, and business partners,
As 2017 draws to a close with only a few days remaining, this year has been marked by significant investments in the future of MOTOR JIKOV GROUP. We successfully completed an organizational restructuring that, I believe, will enhance our competitiveness as a business. In Soběslav, we are constructing a new manufacturing hall, and we have invested tens of millions of crowns into an automated robotic workstation at MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. Additionally, the MOTOR JIKOV Slévárna a.s. foundry upgraded its production with a new cooling line for sand casting operations...
Looking ahead to 2018, we must proceed with caution. As the economic crisis that affected the entire world nears its tenth anniversary next year, we are once again in a situation where the economy is operating at full throttle, manufacturing companies face a shortage of workers, and unemployment rates are at historic lows—impacting productivity and quality. A decade ago, just a few months was enough for the situation to change dramatically. Therefore, it is essential to be prepared and not be caught off guard by potential shifts in the economic cycle.
However, I do not wish to spread pessimism. I am pleased to see that we are nurturing a new generation of young and promising leaders and exploring new ways to recruit young people into technical professions.
Colleagues, friends, allow me to wish you a successful start to 2018. I believe this will be a year filled with achievements, joy, and satisfaction both at work and with your loved ones.
Just like every year, I have prepared a new CD with my band Jižani for your enjoyment—this time, unusually for a brass band, full of musical theater and other melodies. I hope you will enjoy spending pleasant moments listening to our album.
