Production of CNG filling stations is a project in which MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. invests great energy. The demand for alternative vehicle propulsion sources is rapidly increasing, most notably with compressed natural gas (CNG) being one of the most economical and environmentally friendly options. The COMPACT MJ 05 filling unit was awarded the E.ON Energy Globe Award Czech Republic 2011, highlighting its innovative design and leading technology. MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. successfully manufactures the MJ Compact 05, a device recognized in the prestigious E.ON Energy Globe Award Czech Republic 2011 in the Air category. This technology has the potential to become a foundational pillar for domestic and intra-company vehicle filling solutions across Europe. In mid-September, a team of technicians from five European countries gathered at the Prátr training center in Třeboň for the First International Service Course for MJ Compact 05 filling station technicians. Over four days, participants exchanged vital technical knowledge concerning construction, operation, and maintenance of this state-of-the-art equipment. The international team includes experts from Greece, the Netherlands, Hungary, Austria, and the Czech Republic. International Team in Action Greek partners are representatives of a family business specializing in car sales and LPG conversions. Based on extensive experience in LPG sales in Greece, they established a partnership with MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s., which they view as a strong player with extensive backing, innovative potential, and a proud engineering tradition. „The Greek government is preparing a range of incentives to promote environmentally friendly fuels. We see opportunities to establish a sales network across Greece. We are pleased that our partner in expanding filling stations will be MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská,“ said Panos Karvounis. Other team members include representatives from Hungary, Zoltán Kovacs and Áron Galambosi. Their company is the exclusive distributor of CNG technologies in Hungary. Collaboration with this CNG conversion specialist has been ongoing for over two and a half years. Zoltán Kovacs, an electrical engineer, provides valuable practical insights, which are considered in the station’s design. „Currently, Hungary has only three public CNG filling stations. The development potential is enormous,“ noted Zoltán Kovacs, who appreciates the design and innovative technical solutions of the Compact MJ 05 station. A key Dutch company, represented by CNG specialist and project manager Joseph van As, is involved in building traditional fueling stations but is now expanding into CNG station construction for all Benelux countries, with significant potential in Belgium. Focused on innovative technical solutions, they partnered with MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. last year. Negotiations are underway to gradually introduce a comprehensive range of CNG solutions. Another international partner is a Linz-based company represented by Klaus Grabner. Partners commend the high technical standards of the filling station „During our four-day working meeting, we answered many questions that arise in such a broad international collaboration,“ said Jan Kocourek from MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. „Our technicians disassembled the CNG filler piece by piece, down to the last screw, and we are proud to hear praise for the work of our developers and engineers,“ added Jan Kocourek, who, along with technician Lukáš Vosecký, makes up the Czech team.
