The first shipment to E-Z-GO’s new facility in Wuxi, China, is now being assembled by the skilled machinists of MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a. s., Industrial Products division.
They have begun producing pedal assemblies for the RXV series electric golf carts, which will be assembled at the new plant in the eastern Chinese city of Wuxi.
“Among our long-standing international partners is the American company E-Z-GO from Augusta, Georgia. Our Industrial Products division supplies them with axle assemblies, brake drums, and other components for the TXT series golf carts, as well as pedal assemblies for the RXV models. The American partner is clearly satisfied with our quality, which has opened up the opportunity to supply pedal assemblies for their new factory in China. We eagerly seized this opportunity, and since early September, deliveries for the first 150 units of carts have been gradually shipping to eastern China,” says Miroslav Dvořák, CEO of MOTOR JIKOV Group a. s.
For the upcoming year, the Chinese Wuxi plant is planned to produce 1,500 units of the RXV series, accounting for approximately 5% of the total golf carts manufactured at the parent plant in the USA.
“China is a country that exports its products worldwide. Not only for us at MOTOR JIKOV GROUP, but also as a testament to the strength of Czech manufacturers—seeing how, after the example of strong German companies, they are able to succeed in the saturated Chinese market,” concludes CEO Miroslav Dvořák.
