Twenty new employees have been nurtured through the company's scholarship program. Eight apprentices from the Secondary Technical School and Vocational School in Jindřichův Hradec will join MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. in Soběslav after the summer break. Additionally, six apprentices will head to MOTOR JIKOV Slévárna a.s. and MOTOR JIKOV Fostron a.s., two students from the Higher Vocational School of Automotive and Technical Studies in České Budějovice, and four university students.
The practical final exam was once again held directly at the company's training center in Soběslav for apprentices in the toolmaker field from the Secondary Technical School and Vocational School in Jindřichův Hradec. During the two-day exam, they drew one of two assignments and produced either a center finder or a reamer according to the drawings. “I think I managed the practical exam; it wasn't that difficult,” noted Filip Večeřa just before finishing the exam, who will start at MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. in August in the role of workshop quality control.
“We received a task to select two toolmakers from the scholarship recipients who could begin preparing for a quality control position during their internship. They underwent several months of training, and the quality area forwarded their applications,” explained Radomír Hrouda, the company's technical education specialist.

Besides the twenty scholarship recipients starting their careers, four more completed their schooling but are continuing with higher vocational studies.
Over the past school year, more than 150 apprentices and students passed through MOTOR JIKOV's training centers. Of these, 44 were scholarship holders across five fields. “These included metal turners, locksmiths, toolmakers, maintenance mechanics, and students from technical industrial schools. A quarter of the scholarship recipients are university students,” clarified Věra Vrchotová, Director of Human Resources Development at MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s.
