MOTOR JIKOV will participate in the international automotive competition New Energies Rallye Český Krumlov on May 2nd and 3rd. Two of its crews driving CNG-powered vehicles will join the starting lineup.
In the race for alternative drives, MOTOR JIKOV will field two vehicles powered by natural gas (CNG) from Tábor. The Passat will be driven by Lukáš Vosecký with navigator Lenka Mikulenková, while Jan Kocourek and Andrea Homolová will take the seats in the Citigo. Jan is an experienced driver, regularly participating since the beginning of the competition, and he secured a win in last year's round.
"Compared to previous years, the competition is slightly tougher this time, but we are still aiming for a podium finish," says Jan Kocourek, adding, "The main goal in the race is to follow the prescribed time at the set speed, stay within the time limits, and consume as little fuel as possible. It requires a lot of concentration."
The event includes star rides and regularity tests with embedded precision driving tests. The vehicles will arrive at the finish line in Jelení zahrada in Český Krumlov on Saturday afternoon. The results will be announced here, and the awards ceremony will take place.
