The production of technology for CNG refueling is a project in which MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. expects success. Today, nearly 4,000 vehicles in the Czech Republic run on compressed natural gas (CNG).

Most are passenger and utility vehicles. Each year, the number of alternative fuel vehicles in our country and the EU increases, and with it, natural gas consumption. Sales of CNG vehicles in our country grow by tens of percent annually. Only Volkswagen reports a 2.5-times increase in CNG vehicle sales year-on-year in the Czech Republic. The leading Czech brand Škoda Auto will introduce the Citigo on CNG to the market, and a Škoda Octavia CNG is also in preparation. This presents a tremendous opportunity for top-tier refueling equipment from MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s.

Therefore, the MOTOR JIKOV COMPACT MJ 05 refueling device, which won the prestigious E.ON Energy Globe Award ČR 2011 in the Air category, was one of the highlights on the opening day of the 39th annual Země živitelka agro-show in České Budějovice. “One of our first industry associations collaborating to promote CNG into practice is the Bakers and Confectioners Entrepreneurs Association. We gratefully accepted an invitation to participate in the supplier pavilion Z at the exhibition during this association’s professional seminar,” says Jan Kocourek, Sales Officer and a passionate advocate of CNG.

“There was enormous interest in our MOTOR JIKOV COMPACT 05 refueling station among industry professionals and visitors at the agro-show. We received visitors from the private sector, craftsmen, small business owners interested in running a station themselves and for their community. Naturally, representatives of companies with large vehicle fleets also visited us, as reducing transportation costs can bring significant economic benefits,” adds Jan Kocourek.

Concrete interest in the refueling equipment has already been shown by a major food additives supplier operating an interesting corporate fleet of passenger and utility vehicles in the Czech Republic.

“I believe that our participation on the first professional day of the 39th Země živitelka exceeded our expectations. We know we produce top-tier technology for an industry poised for significant growth. Our current goal is to further popularize CNG as an economical, safe, and environmentally friendly alternative. The only thing holding back broader CNG use in road transport is a denser network of filling stations.
