Blog The Manager of the Year award goes to Miroslav Dvořák, CEO of MOTOR JIKOV Group

Chairman of the Board and CEO of the engineering company MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s., Miroslav Dvořák, emerged as the winner of the Manager of the Year 2015 award, competing against seventy other finalists. He was accompanied on stage by Radka Prokopová, Managing Director and Executive Officer of sanitary technology manufacturer Alca Plast, who was recognized as Manager of the Year 2015. The 23rd edition of the contest was organized by the Confederation of Industry and Transport of the Czech Republic, the Confederation of Employers and Entrepreneurs' Unions of the Czech Republic, and the Czech Management Association. The golden badge was presented to the victorious managers by President Miloš Zeman.
“I value winning this award because it provides a comparison of professionals within the industry. For those who succeed, it’s a recognition and confirmation that their work and achievements stand up to the highest national standards,” commented Miroslav Dvořák on receiving the accolade.

Representing the National Committee were last year’s winners Daniel Beneš and Zuzana Ceralová Petrofová. “This year's Manager and Manageress of the Year were formidable personalities. Their victories were evident in the unanimous decision of the National Committee,” said Daniel Beneš. “Both awardees have outstanding results in the companies they lead, not only in economic terms. They scored the maximum points needed to rank at the top of the hypothetical leaderboard. These young individuals belong to the progressive management generation and have built their companies from the ground up. In my opinion, Manager of the Year Miroslav Dvořák is a remarkable innovator,” added Zuzana Ceralová Petrofová.

Ing. Miroslav Dvořák joined MOTOR JIKOV in České Budějovice in 1986 as a designer. He gained managerial experience by progressing through the hierarchy of leadership positions, from managing design departments to becoming the general director in 2000. To enhance competitiveness, he established technological development centers focused on innovation and applied development of new technologies, procedures, and processes. Today, this has resulted in fully robotic workstations. In the spirit of Industry 4.0, the company is prepared to lead the market in automation and robotics of manufacturing processes. He dedicates his managerial skills and knowledge not only to his company but has also generously extended his influence beyond it. He is Vice President of the Automotive Industry Association, a member of the professional council at ZČU Pilsen, and a board member at VŠTE in České Budějovice.
