Ecology in transportation was the theme of the regional transportation conference held in České Budějovice.
It was organized by the Higher Vocational School, the Secondary Industrial School of Automotive and Technical Studies in České Budějovice, in collaboration with the South Bohemian Chamber of Commerce.
The conference provided a platform for industry experts to connect. Discussions focused on alternative propulsion systems, transportation infrastructure, and emission reduction, with representatives from the Railway Research Institute, the Regional Person Transportation Center of Czech Railways in South Bohemia, ČESMAD Bohemia Association, the České Budějovice City Transport Company, ČSAD Autobuses, and ČSAD Jihotrans presenting examples of alternative propulsion applications in transportation. Václav Král, Sales Manager in the CNG division at MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s., shared experiences with innovations in ecological transport and economic improvements. The company is part of the MOTOR JIKOV GROUP holding, which boasts approximately 50% of its fleet powered by CNG, saving nearly 2 million crowns annually.
"The number of vehicles is increasing, along with the demand for reducing the negative environmental impacts of transportation and improving transport systems. This traditional conference clearly contributes to raising awareness in the field of transportation, and I am pleased to have accepted the opportunity to present the benefits of natural gas in transportation, both to industry professionals and students. These future drivers will gradually change current fuel usage habits," stated Václav Král regarding his participation in the conference.
