By the end of June, collective bargaining was successfully concluded, with union representatives agreeing to the company's management proposal of MOTORU JIKOV GROUP. This year's negotiations also included the participation of an impartial mediator.
„Prolonged negotiations would not have been beneficial for either party.
From the proposals presented, it is clear that an mutually acceptable solution was reached during the negotiations,“ stated mediator Jitka Pincová.
The company increased wages and introduced new benefits for employees, even before the agreement was officially finalized. A new benefit this year is a reward for meeting the working time fund, amounting to up to CZK 6,000 annually. The MOTOR JIKOV GROUP holding companies overall increased the wage fund for the basic salary increase for 2019 by CZK 6.5 million, representing an average salary increase of CZK 700, in addition to an appropriate increase in the variable component, which accounts for up to twenty percent, or a maximum of CZK 140. During the first five months of the year, 259 employees received additional pay.
„We met several times with union representatives. I enjoy hearing opinions directly from production workers, so I invited the entire committee. I believe this brings valuable insights to the discussion, and I gained a direct understanding of how employees in manufacturing view things—immediately from them, not through a spokesperson,“ said Miroslav Dvořák, Chairman of the Board and CEO of MOTORU JIKOV Group a.s.

„We approached negotiations with many conciliatory proposals. We didn't want to deprive employees of benefits that are advantageous to them just because an agreement had not yet been reached. For instance, salary increases have been underway since January, and we paid the reward for full utilization of the working time fund even before the deal was finalized,“ emphasized Miroslav Dvořák.
As a gesture of goodwill, the CEO decided to retroactively pay the reward for the first quarter. As a result, 487 employees received CZK 1500 in the May paycheck. How much more can employees earn upon meeting the working time fund criteria? For each quarter in which they fulfill the criteria, they receive CZK 1500. What are the criteria? An employee will receive the reward if, during the relevant period, they fully contributed to fulfilling the business plan, completely utilized the working hours, and were not absent for reasons such as: temporary illness, caring for a child or other household member, maternity or parental leave, approved unpaid leave, and they had no unexcused absences. „Doctor's visits, attendance at weddings or funerals, and other reasons specified in the collective agreement do not disqualify employees from earning the reward,“ added Iva Fantyšová.
All regular employees received the reward, and supervisors and foremen will also see it reflected on their payslips for June.
