On the occasion of the opening of a new vocational school workshop specializing in machinery at the Center for Vocational Training, a meeting took place in Sezimovo Ústí on Friday, September 27, bringing together education professionals and representatives of social partners.
Representatives from South Bohemian companies MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s., KOVOSVIT MAS a.s. Sezimovo Ústí, Micro-Epsilon Bechyně, Brisk a.s. Tábor, and Bosch České Budějovice discussed with members of the South Bohemian Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the South Bohemian Regional Office, and collaborating secondary schools the current state of education and the labor market in technical fields.
“Thanks to this event, all interested parties who can influence the development of Czech technical education—ranging from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, the National Institute for Education, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Industry Union, the South Bohemian Regional Authority, schools, to employers—sat together at one table.
I left the meeting with a good feeling that the direction MOTOR JIKOV took several years ago toward supporting technical education is the right one, and that the activities we are involved in serve as ‘best practices’ for other companies,” said Věra Vrchotová, Director of Human Resources Development at MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s.
