Robotic machines have a wide range of applications in companies. They replace basic job positions, help optimize processes, and are useful wherever maximum precision is required. However, they can also spend their free time playing games. Visitors to the MOTOR JIKOV Group s.r.o. booth at this year's Education and Crafts exhibition can see for themselves. The company's exhibition, featuring engineering and foundry companies of MOTOR JIKOV GROUP, is attracting visitors with a checkers-playing robot. It was taught to play by Přemysl Friš from the Single-Purpose Machines division of MOTOR JIKOV Fostron a.s. He joined the company a year ago and is so interested in design engineering that he is now expanding his technical knowledge by studying measuring and computing techniques at the University of South Bohemia. "This robot is a real highlight of the entire exhibition. Visitors have many questions, mainly about how the robot is controlled, how the program is created, and how to ensure the robot picks up the figurine with absolute precision and places it in the specified location. Of course, we answer all questions and show the control computer with a digital model of the game situation and footage on the robot's control panel. Personally, I see this exhibit as very beneficial for communicating with young people. It would definitely motivate me to study technical fields," says Přemysl Friš. Zdeněk Struska from MOTOR JIKOV Fostron a.s. demonstrates a variator gear made by apprentices from the MOTOR JIKOV Fostron a.s. training center. Visitors will also see a variator gear, assembled by apprentices from the MOTOR JIKOV Fostron a.s. training center. Those interested can inquire with company representatives about tours, scholarships, employment opportunities, or speak directly with students from the partner school VOŠ, SPŠ Automobilní a technická České Budějovice, who gain hands-on experience during internships at the training center. "We place great emphasis on participation in the Education and Crafts exhibition. Especially because this national event appeals not only to professionals but primarily to final-year primary school students making decisions about their future education. We designed this year's booth to motivate these young people in a fun and engaging way to study technical fields. We want to show them that the MOTOR JIKOV GROUP holding is a progressive company with many technical disciplines and broad career opportunities," comments Miroslav Dvořák, Chairman of the Board and General Director of MOTOR JIKOV Group s.r.o.
