Blog Preschoolers delight in polytechnic building blocks

Every educator knows that when children play meaningfully, they learn to develop and explore the world. Children from Soběslav kindergartens received a post-Christmas dream gift just two days after Epiphany.

Instead of Kaspar, Melchior, and Balthazar, the gift was delivered by older friends from MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s., led by the Director of Human Resources Development of MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s., Věra Vrchotová.

“The engineering tradition here in Soběslav runs deep and long, successfully continued by our company, MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. Today, we spread the glory of Soběslav’s engineers both at home and abroad. In the former Ladovec, entire families of Soběslav residents worked as true specialists, competing internationally in their time. The spirit of craftsmanship and creativity is deeply rooted here. At our core, we understand how vital the development of technical thinking and fostering a relationship with modern technology from an early age is. That’s why we decided to gift Soběslav preschoolers with polytechnic building kits, which excellently nurture their imagination, creativity, and technical skills,” says Věra Vrchotová.

At the DUHA Kindergarten, led by Director Alena Krejčová, 207 children across 11 classes eagerly awaited their gifts. The children come not only from Soběslav but also from nearby areas, mainly Klenovice. “On behalf of the children, we thank you once again for the wonderful gifts and eagerly look forward to continued collaboration with MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. Every activity that supports the development of children’s skills and abilities is incredibly valuable. Polytechnic building sets especially enhance children’s interest in technical skills, human labor, craftsmanship, and creativity. We also warmly welcome the invitation for a tour of Soběslav’s factory,” adds Director Alena Krejčová.

Six classes at the Nerudova Kindergarten, with a total of 150 children, also received beautiful gifts. “Our children love playing with building kits where they can assemble, screw, tighten, and loosen because they observe their dads at home, help them, and then enjoy playing themselves. It doesn’t matter whether they’re boys or girls; everyone loves building roads, tracks, garages, elevators, and houses,” says Kindergarten Director Ivana Bártová.

The little Soběslav residents are already looking forward to future collaborations – excursions, Children’s Day, and other projects that their friends from MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. are preparing for them.

On the very next day (Wednesday, 9 January), the same joy was shared at the Nové Hrády Kindergarten. Here, too, preschoolers unboxed building kits and other technical toys and tools kindly brought by HR representatives from MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s.
