Blog MOTOR JIKOV supports the Oppra Children's Hospital

On Monday, December 8th, the CEO of MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s., Miroslav Dvořák, presented a check for __one hundred thousand crowns__ to the director of the Dětská psychiatrická léčebna (DPN) Opařany, Iva Hodková.

Since 1999, MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s. has been generously supporting the Dětská psychiatrická nemocnice Opařany through sponsorship. They have funded projects focused on rehabilitation and resocialization programs, contributing over __1.3 million crowns__ to the development and stabilization of psychiatric rehabilitation. This year, the funds will be used to purchase a floorball court for the former laundry room.

„I’m glad I could visit you today, especially during the Christmas season, when giving presents is such a wonderful tradition. I’ve brought one myself. I know your management will use it to improve the gymnasium, which will surely make your stay here more enjoyable. Most importantly, I wish for your stay to pass quickly, and for all of you to successfully return to normal life. After seeing what you’re capable of and how skilled you are, I truly believe you will succeed in everything,“ said Miroslav Dvořák, General Director of MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s., to the young patients of DNP Opařany. They prepared a musical performance and played a mini football match to welcome him.

„We are very grateful for this gift. Mr. Dvořák has been thinking of us for many years. The children frequently use the floorball gym, and we are delighted to be able to enhance it further,“ said Iva Hodková, director of DNP Opařany, during a festive reception primarily organized for the young patients. „The entire event, where the children toured our cinema, the future floorball hall, the art therapy workshop, and concluded at the reception where the check was ceremoniously presented, serves as a sociotherapeutic experience. Many children would never find themselves in such situations. Now they understand how to behave and what such gatherings entail,“ she added.

Since 1999, MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s. has supported the Opařany Pediatric Psychiatric Hospital with the purchase of outdoor table tennis, basketball hoops, sports and movement program equipment, renovation and furnishing of the club, mini-golf course construction, a training kitchen, funding for canistherapy and hippotherapy programs, outdoor trampoline, therapist training, Alfa 40 hydromassage tub, rope pyramid, and other projects totaling over __1.345 million crowns__.
