Up to sixty new jobs will be offered by MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. in Soběslav during the second half of the year. “We are starting to recruit from August onwards for positions including CNC machining center operators, manufacturing workers for machining and assembly, as well as setters and mechanics. The main requirement is a willingness to work in shifts,” says Iva Fantyšová, HR Director of MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s.
MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. is launching new production and, as part of internal changes within the MOTOR JIKOV GROUP holding, is also taking over machining and assembly that were previously carried out by employees in České Budějovice. “We will continue to specialize in machining and assembly. Thanks to these changes, we can better utilize our machinery and human resources. However, we still need to find sixty new employees for the Soběslav plant by the end of the year,” states Milan Vančata, Division Director of Industrial Products at MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s.
The launch of new orders means significant investments in machinery. Over the next twelve months, the company plans to invest CZK 150 million, with CZK 120 million allocated directly to Soběslav. “We will implement, for example, automated manufacturing for some components for the automotive manufacturer Scania. However, automation will not eliminate jobs; on the contrary, due to new production and changes, we are in need of more employees,” adds Jiří Slíva, Director of the Special Machining and Production Division at MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s.
