University students from Brno and Plzeň technical universities showed keen interest in the conditions of internships and apprenticeships at MOTOR JIKOV. They gathered information from company representatives during two major events organized by their universities. Over a three-week period, MOTOR JIKOV introduced itself to students in Prague, Brno, and Plzeň.
"Students demonstrated interest from the first to the fifth year of their studies. In terms of fields, the most common were general mechanical engineering, technology, design, metallurgy, programming, and mechatronics. They most frequently inquired about summer internship opportunities, scholarship programs, and topics for final projects that they could work on during internships," said Radomír Hrouda, the technical education supervisor at MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s., who participated in the Company Day at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Brno University of Technology.
"Of course, most students came from Moravia, but there were also interested candidates from South Bohemia, and roughly one-third were Slovaks. They are an interesting potential workforce for us. Once they go to work in Czechia, it doesn't matter whether they head west, north, or south," added Radomír Hrouda.
MOTOR JIKOV also participated in the twentieth edition of the Job Fair at the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň, held at the university campus in Borech. The Brno Company Day was attended by thousands of students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and other faculties at VUT in Brno. The interest in the Job Fair in Plzeň was even greater.
