Blog MOTOR JIKOV is a leader in constructing large CNG stations in the south.

Having established nine major public CNG filling stations, MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. proudly celebrated the opening of its latest station on the Prachaticko at the end of last year. As the leading pioneer in the South of Bohemia, MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. has built the majority of the seven large public stations in the region.

“By the end of November 2016, we commissioned our ninth major public CNG station. This time, our client was E.ON Energie, a.s.,” announced Jiří Slíva, Director of the Assembly Division at MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s.

The station is situated at the fuel station operated by STS Prachatice in Těšovice. “For the Prachatice and Šumava regions, this is certainly welcome news, as it is located near a key junction of roads 141, connecting Prachatice, Písek, and Prague, and road 145, which links České Budějovice with Vimperk. Many motorists now have a convenient CNG refueling point en route to the Strážný border crossing or Šumava,” emphasized Jiří Slíva. Before this station opened, drivers heading to Šumava had to refuel in Písek or České Budějovice.

“The CNG station is equipped with a J. A. Becker compressor with a capacity of 190 Nm3/h, a three-stage tank with a geometric volume of 2,240 liters, and a double-sided dispensing stand with an integrated payment terminal supporting CNG and bank card payments,” described Jaroslav Vohnout from MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. regarding the station's technical specifications.
