A selected team of ten technicians from MOTOR JIKOV Fostron a.s. is currently participating in a multi-day training course on Programmatic Support for WorkNC for automatic drilling cycles.
"During the training, we focus on creating drilling programs in the CAD/CAM system WorkNC, which can automatically detect holes designated for drilling and generate the entire drilling process, including multi-sided drilling. The subsequent post-processor, running in machine cycles, also simplifies operation and allows for easy program editing. At the end of the training, we will also present solutions to potential technical issues encountered in other companies," explains Jiří Veselý from SEMACO, who is leading the training at MOTOR JIKOV Fostron a.s.
Forty-five hours of instruction are conducted through lectures in the classroom as well as practical exercises with NC machines directly in the company's production facility.
"We have access to the most modern, highly sophisticated CAM software and equipment, which allows us to continually improve manufacturing preparation, maintain minimal defect rates, and streamline mold production. However, these technologies also place high demands on programmers and designers. To fully utilize these technological advancements, such training is absolutely essential. Only those who master the latest technology can be assured of steady employment. Today, obtaining information is not an issue; the key is to evaluate and apply it correctly in real-world situations," states Vladimír Kubeš, Director of the Mold Division at MOTOR JIKOV Fostron a.s.
