Public CNG filling station constructed by MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. in an industrial zone directly adjacent to the E551 exit on Pelhřimov, right in front of their premises. With additional stations in České Budějovice, Písek, and Tábor, they complete a four-leaf clover of compressed natural gas refueling stations across South Bohemia.
"The popularity of CNG vehicles is increasing, so less than a year after opening their first public station in Písek, we are launching a second one. Thanks to the expanding network, CNG refueling across Bohemia is gradually reaching the level of advanced countries," says Miroslav Dvořák, Chairman of the Board and CEO of MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s.

The MJ SAT station, equipped with cutting-edge filling technology, features a Becker & Söhne compressor rated at 157 m
3/h and a pressure vessel of 2240 L / 285 bar. It is complemented by an Adast dispensing stand with NGV1 and NGV2 filling outlets and an integrated payment terminal. The station supports 24/7 self-service for personal, van, truck, and bus drivers. Payments can be made with all common credit cards, including CNG Card. It is designed and prepared for capacity doubling if necessary.

MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. launched the development and production of their own CNG filling equipment in 2010. Their portfolio today includes five types of compressed natural gas filling technologies for a broad spectrum of customers—from individuals and small to medium-sized entrepreneurs, up to large corporations. Last year, they began constructing public refueling stations, with stations in Písek and Jindřichův Hradec in operation.
"Given the growing demand from motorists, we are now doubling the capacity of the station in Písek. For example, ČSAD Autobusy in Písek, which fully utilizes the station, is acquiring seven additional CNG buses this year. Regular customers also include private and corporate vehicle drivers," adds Jiří Slíva, Director of the Special Machining and Manufacturing Division at MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. Soběslav.
In the Czech Republic, nearly 7,000 vehicles are powered by CNG. By 2015, approximately 35 more stations are expected to be added to the current 50, with experts predicting around 400 CNG stations nationwide by 2020.
