The year 2018 was marked by significant investments for our company. We acquired new machinery, casting equipment, robotic workstations, and made structural improvements to our production facilities. We are certainly technologically prepared for what 2019 will bring. However, the question remains: how will the overall economy behave? We already know that the rise in energy prices, which increased sharply by thirty percent, will hit us hard—resulting in a twenty million CZK increase in costs for the holding company. These are funds we need to earn additionally.
But life in the company is about more than just money. I am glad to have spent pleasant moments with our employees who donate blood voluntarily. I recently underwent surgery myself and fully realize that blood may be needed at any time by anyone of us. That’s why I value their voluntary activities and am pleased that we support them as a company within our benefit program.
We met with blood donors at a place I often return to, my guesthouse Prátr near Třeboň. And it’s precisely these visits to places dear to us that are the central theme of the latest CD by my band Jižani, titled "Kam vracím se rád" ("Where I Like to Return"). I believe the new collection of songs will bring you enjoyable listening, and that you will “have a good time with Jižani”.
Colleagues, friends, I am glad to be able to wish you a successful start to 2019. I hope the year will be filled with joy for all of us. I wish you contentment and good company.
