Blog German Westfalia is relocating production to Soběslav

Global leader in branded towing accessories commissions part of its production at Soběslav.

"We began discussions with representatives of the German Westfalia at the end of last year. Our proposal captivated the customer to such an extent that they expressed immediate interest in starting cooperation and relocating production to the Soběslav plant. The production launch was preceded by a rigorous customer audit, which our employees can be justifiably proud of – with a rating of 98%, MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. was classified among the Westfalia Group’s suppliers," comments František Řepa, Sales Manager for the Industrial Products Division at MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. in Soběslav. He added that during subsequent negotiations in the Czech Republic and at the plant in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Germany, where the new customer’s manufacturing facility is located, the final technical, commercial, and logistical details of the production transfer were refined.

"For MOTOR JIKOV, initiating cooperation with a prominent player in the automotive supply industry is yet another testament to our technical expertise and competitiveness in the demanding Western European market," Řepa concludes.
