Assembly machines for the company Valeo have been completed by MOTOR JIKOV Fostron a.s. technicians from the Single-purpose Machines (JUS) division. "The machines are designed for connecting the evaporator block with tubes and installing the TXV valve. They will be installed at Valeo's Czech plant in Žebrák. Over the past five years, this marks the eighth series of machines for Valeo," reported JUS division sales manager Jiří Hrabánek. In the near future, in collaboration with Valeo, there is an opportunity for the JUS division to build a fully automated production line through automation.Valeo, a company manufacturing products ensuring thermal comfort in car cabins—such as air conditioning units, compressors, and evaporators—is MOTOR JIKOV Fostron a.s.'s largest customer within the JUS division."In recent years, we have produced machines for foreign Valeo sister companies, such as in Turkey, India, or Mexico. The machines are versatile, allowing the production of various evaporator variants by changing tools. The tools and machine control systems include inspection elements, including a camera system to ensure manufacturing quality. The machines feature manual component loading," described Jiří Hrabánek. As part of continuous development in the automotive industry and requirements for quality and cost, suppliers must optimize their production processes annually. One common solution is process automation, which is of course within the expertise of MOTOR JIKOV Fostron a.s. "Therefore, in collaboration with Valeo's technicians, we are finalizing a project to automate these processes in our design. The new line layout is being developed by chief designer Marie Kováříková," clarified Jiří Hrabánek. The development of the line's design, which involves several industrial robots, took several months and has now been approved by Valeo. "Preparation for investment is currently underway at Valeo, with an expected line production start within two to three years," added Jiří Hrabánek.
