The company MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s., in collaboration with Linde Material Handling Česká republika s.r.o. (Linde MH), has launched an internal CNG filling station at Saint-Gobain Construction Products CZ a.s., Isover Častolovice division.
For the CNG implementation project, MOTOR JIKOV supplied the MJ Compact Plus 40-1680 series CNG filling station. This is a 2-compressor rapid fill station designed for high-pressure fueling of forklifts with compressed natural gas, with a maximum capacity of 40 m3/h and a dual-section high-pressure tank of 1680 liters. The compressed gas dispensation is manual with a 200 bar pressure regulator via 2 NGV1 fueling outlets.
Linde MH supplied a total of 18 CNG-powered forklifts to Isover, designated Linde H16 and Linde H20. These replace existing diesel forklifts used for material handling between production lines, warehouses, and during loading and shipping of goods.
“This is another important step in actively fulfilling our long-term strategy for health and environmental protection. Thanks to CNG technology, we will achieve a significant reduction in emissions, which positively impacts both the working environment in the manufacturing halls where handling occurs and the surrounding community’s environment,” states Jiří Šulák, Director of the Isover Častolovice manufacturing plant.
“The new Linde MH forklifts powered by CNG will not only help streamline logistics processes and enhance workplace safety but will also deliver significant fuel cost savings,” says Ing.
