Representatives of the Sectoral Council for Engineering received the EXCELLENCE diploma for actively supporting the development of technical fields and addressing disparities in the labor market. Five sectoral councils out of a total of 29 received this diploma.
“The biggest challenge we see is the shortage of technically educated people in engineering fields. Through sectoral councils, we strive to establish close cooperation between schools and employers, the public administration, and employment offices. Our goal is to increase the attractiveness of technical disciplines, ensure companies have enough qualified graduates and employees, and strengthen further education in these fields,” said Věra Vrchotová, Chairwoman of the Sectoral Council for Engineering and Director of Education at MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s., upon receiving the Excellence diploma. She added that MOTOR JIKOV collaborates with the Czech Confederation of Industry and Transport, the Czech Chamber of Commerce, government bodies, and employment offices within the framework of the Sectoral Council for Engineering.
