As part of the project Development of Technical Education in the South Bohemian Region, eighth-grade students from J. Š. Baara Elementary School and Kindergarten in České Budějovice visited the production facilities of MOTOR JIKOV.
The excursion took place during the so-called Technical Day. This activity is part of a cycle of visits to vocational training workplaces at secondary schools, collaborating company sites, and production centers.
Each participating school attends four Technical Days annually. A total of forty-four students from the school explored the production areas of MOTOR JIKOV Foundry a.s., MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s., and MOTOR JIKOV Fostron a.s.. The production process was led by Radomír Hrouda, the technical education expert.
The children were curious about, for example, how much they could earn if they pursued a technical field, but also asked more practical questions, such as the temperature inside the pressure casting hall.
