The Special Machining and Manufacturing division has completed testing and launched mass production of a new, lower-capacity version of our proprietary CNG station. The MJ Variant Plus refueling unit combines the best features of its two predecessors, offering customers an attractive alternative for compressed natural gas filling.
"The MJ Variant Plus device, developed in 2013 as part of our innovation initiatives, merges the positive attributes of the MJ Variant—primarily flexibility and adaptable technical solutions—and the MJ Compact Plus refiller, known for easy installation and minimal construction requirements," explains Jiří Slíva, Director of the Special Machining and Manufacturing Division.
Designed for fleets with 5-20 vehicles consuming up to 60,000 m3 of CNG annually, the station enables rapid refueling. Its 1,680-liter compressed natural gas tank ensures filling times comparable to public stations—approximately 2-3 minutes.
The first station installation is scheduled for this spring at ROMOTOP, spol. s r.o., in Suchdol nad Odrou. This customer will be among the first to Experience the benefits of this innovation firsthand. The station, contained within a technological concrete container measuring 2.5×3.5×2.5m, requires only concrete pads for compressor placement and gas and electrical connections. The supplier will deliver a fully prepared station, including all necessary legislation, and commissioning will occur after connecting to the power and gas sources.
MOTOR JIKOV offers the MJ Variant Plus in several configurations, varying by compressor count and capacity from 10 to 20 Nm3/h. Options include measuring the volume of delivered gas. Customers can choose manual filling control, or opt for a convenient dispensing station with automatic filling processes, card access, CNG dispensing measurement, and a display. Manual dispensing is also available, equipped with CNG flow measurement system and chip-based user identification for personalized consumption tracking.

The innovation of the compressed natural gas refueling station was carried out by MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s., supported financially by the Operational Program Enterprise and Innovation (OPPI) – Innovation of New Gas Equipment Types.
