MOTOR JIKOV has received an award for supporting technical education, promoting collaboration between companies and schools, and preparing the young generation for technical professions. Only 28 companies across the Czech Republic received this recognition.
"Close cooperation between schools and companies is highly desirable. Through joint efforts to enhance the prestige of technical fields and prepare young people for technical careers, we help strengthen the competitiveness of Czech industry," stated Miroslav Dvořák, Chairman of the Board and CEO of MOTOR JIKOV Group. MOTOR JIKOV is among the pioneers of school-industry collaboration in Bohemia. Its activities have already earned numerous awards in prestigious competitions and projects.

The attending ministers outlined goals and programs to support vocational technical education within their ministries. Jan Mládek mentioned, among other things, support for Czech companies and schools from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. "I firmly believe that with support for technical education we will maintain the position of Czech industry as a stable foundation of our national economy." The importance of supporting technical education was also emphasized by Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Marcel Chládek. "We need to show the public that apprenticeship programs and technical education in general have a future and can provide decent livelihoods. We call on companies to help fund equipment for school workshops or purchase technically oriented toys even for kindergartens."
The Jihočeský holding MOTOR JIKOV GROUP has been supporting technical skills among children from kindergarten age, with a well-developed cooperation system spanning elementary, secondary, and university technical education institutions, for several years. Human Resources Development Director Věra Vrchotová considers experience, personal initiative, and willingness to adapt to the current labor market as key to success. "It turns out that the system we established years ago is effective and that we are heading in the right direction. Many companies and schools now regard MOTOR JIKOV in collaboration with schools as a “best practice,” and that is the greatest recognition for our long-term and persistent efforts."
