Blog A new spot for a CNG station is emerging in the lower area of MOTOR JIKOV.

The gas connection for the new internal CNG filling station has begun preparations by the construction company at the lower premises of MOTOR JIKOV in České Budějovice. The installation of the modern MJ Variant Plus station is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
“For two days, we had to limit access to part of the employee parking to lay the gas connection. However, the number of parking spots remains unchanged. I believe we will be able to concrete the foundations for the station and complete the installation within this year, so nothing should prevent us,” said Jiří Macháček, Director of Services at INVESTIX a.s.
The new station will complement the already operational station in the upper area of the company. “With our current corporate fleet, which includes several dozen CNG vehicles and forklifts, the existing equipment was no longer sufficient. In the lower premises, we are installing the new MJ Variant Plus station, which differs from the previous version with its compact design. The station is housed in a concrete casing, which speeds up the on-site assembly—it is simply placed on concrete foundations, with gas, electricity, and internet connections,” said Václav Král, Sales Manager at MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s.
The MJ Variant Plus station allows remote management via the internet. “We can monitor consumption and control the station remotely,” added Václav Král. The new internal CNG filling station at the lower premises is expected to begin operation in January.

More than half of MOTOR JIKOV's vehicle fleet runs on CNG. “Out of a total of seventy-five vehicles, thirty-five are CNG-powered. The fleet mainly includes Volkswagen Passat and Škoda Octavia models. Over the last three years, we’ve been renewing our fleet exclusively with CNG vehicles. This year, we expanded the Octavia lineup with the first Škoda Octavia Combi G-Tec directly from the manufacturer. Next year, we plan to purchase four more CNG vehicles. Our goal is to gradually convert the entire corporate fleet to CNG,” stated Vladimír Dvořák, Service Manager at INVESTIX a.s.
