Miroslav Dvořák, the Chairman of the Board and CEO of the engineering company MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s., won the Manager of the Year 2015 competition from among seven dozen finalists. Radka Prokopová, Executive Director and General Manager of the producer of sanitary technology Alca Plast accompanied him to stage as the Female Manager of the Year 2015. The Gold Badge was presented to the winning managers by the President of the Czech Republic, Miloš Zeman. The twenty-third annual edition of the competition was organized by the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, the Confederation of Employer and Entrepreneur Associations of the Czech Republic and the Czech Management Association.
“I appreciate succeeding in the competition as an opportunity to compare people in this branch. For those who succeed, it is a certain reward and confirmation of their work and what they have been able to achieve at the highest national scale,” commented Miroslav Dvořák upon winning the award.
Miroslav Dvořák joined MOTOR JIKOV České Budějovice in 1986 as a design engineer, gaining managerial experience gradually in positions ranging from the Construction Department to taking the reigns as General Manager in 2000. He established a technology development centre focusing on innovation and applying developments of new technologies, practices and processes in order to increase competitiveness, resulting in a fully robotized workplace. Under the motto Industry 4.0, the company is poised to become the market leader in automation and robotic manufacturing processes. His managerial skills and knowledge are not only devoted to his company, but he has selflessly expanded his scope elsewhere. He is Vice-President of the Automotive Industry Association, Chairman of the South Bohemian Chamber of Commerce, sits on the Professional Council of the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň and the Management Board of the Institute of Technology and Economics in České Budějovice.
The Manager of the Year is the most prestigious and most systematic and well-developed management competition in the Czech Republic. Its aim is to look objectively and independently select and highlight the best and most important personalities, their management methods and contributions to developing businesses and the entire economy.
